It’s messy, smelly, and something best left to the experts.

Several things can mess with your sewer. From pesky tree roots sneaking into the pipes to old age causing wear and tear. Whatever the culprit, the repair process usually involves digging into the ground to get to the pipes. The good thing is that modern sewer repair isn’t as cumbersome as it used to be.

These days, there is fancy tech like trenchless repair. It allows professionals to fix things without tearing up your whole yard. Plumbers use a special camera, like a tiny spy one. That way, they can see what’s wrong inside the pipe. The camera may show that some roots are growing inside the pipe. Sometimes, the roots may not be big enough to block everything.

Depending on what’s causing the problem, the experts may use a special machine to clean the pipe and suck out any yucky stuff. Then, they grab a polyester sock and dip it in a special hardening goo. The sock goes into the pipe and blows up with air. Doing so makes the goo harden, forming a brand-new pipe inside the old one.

This way of fixing a broken pipe is effective and convenient because you don’t have to break the floor. It’s also faster and cheaper than the usual way. Sewer repair might not be the most glamorous topic, but it’s critical. You may have to deal with it at some point. Watch this video to learn more.
